Core of the Case
The parties concluded an agreement for the management of a project for the construction and installation of an ice-resistant offshore fixed platform at the Yu.Korchagin field in the Caspian Sea. A claim was filed against the client for the recovery of remuneration under this agreement in the amount of more than 400 million rubles. The client filed a counterclaim for the recovery of damages under the contract in the amount of more than 1.3 billion rubles.
Scope of Services
Full support of the project in the court of first instance. Preparation of a legal position on the initial claim against the client and on the client’s counterclaim. Conducting financial and technical expertise, collecting and studying numerous evidence of the parties (hundreds of volumes of the case).

The claim against the client was denied. The client’s counterclaim was satisfied. More than 1.3 billion rubles were recovered. We managed to avoid collecting more than 400 million rubles from the client. By the time the case was considered, the client was in bankruptcy proceedings, and the recovery of 1.3 billion rubles in his favor on one of the main projects allowed him to start settlements with numerous creditors whose claims are related to the implementation of this project.
